chroot ersetzt für alle Kind-Prozesse das Standard-Root-Verzeichnis durch das angegebene.

Ein Netzwerk innerhalb des chroot /tmp/custom/debian-live/chroot/ konfigurieren

sudo mount -o bind /sys /tmp/custom/debian-live/chroot/sys
sudo mount -o bind /proc /tmp/custom/debian-live/chroot/proc
sudo chroot /tmp/custom/debian-live/chroot/

Innerhalb des chroot muss das Netzwerk wahrscheinlich zurückgesetzt werden, damit die Routen und das DNS gesetzt werden.

dhclient eth0

Dies ist nützlich zum Testen und Konfigurieren eines zu deployenden Systems, z.B. DebianLive.
